Band Booking Policy

Bands wishing to play at the Rhondda Hotel (2008 Saturday Nights) please read below-

We are looking for Rock bands who can do a minimum of 90 mins.

Most regulars on a Saturday night are getting bored with Blues Bands and Cover Bands so we prefer bands that can do at least 50% of Original material but this is not essential.

We prefer bands to be set up before 7pm or 8pm at the latest.This is because most people will not enter if the Band are not Setup or are sound Checking.

If you have a Website let me know and I will provide a link to your Website in the Gig Guide and I will leave the link active for at least 2 years (probably more).If you mention us in your gig guide please link back to this site{details here}.Also any bands that providing photos for the Rhondda Hotel note that all photographs that are used will get a link back to your Website.

Return Gig Policy

Bands that cancel at short or very short notice will not be asked back.

We keep a Spreadsheet of Bands booked , amount paid for Band and time that the Band finished setting up.The Spreadsheet compares the Price paid for the Band with the Door takings , the amount taken behind the Bar and the time that the band were finished setting up.When a band turns up late , does not attract many people or spends hours sound checking , the door takings decrease and a box turns red if the door takings are up a box turns green , the same happens for Bar takings and setup times ! Three greens is best , three reds is worst.This is the Spredsheet that is used when Rebooking Bands.

At the moment Band rotation is about 6 months but this time frame will always rise because We try to book at least one new band a month.

I normally advertise all gigs On the BBC Gig Guide and The Giglist and a lot of other minor websites if I get the time.
